CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.鈥 青瓜视频's Pence-Chowning Art Gallery is displaying its annual Juried Student Art Show through Wednesday, April 30.
The Pence-Chowning Art Gallery is located at 205 University Drive, Campbellsville, Ky. It is free of charge for anyone to visit the gallery and the Juried Student Art Show.
Works of the following were accepted: painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, sculpture, graphic design and other media.
The juror for the competition was professional artist Page Candler. Prizes were awarded for each category and one was awarded the best of the show.
Renee Renfro's piece titled 鈥淏ouler, Co.鈥 was awarded for the best piece of the show. She is from Columbia, Ky.
In the painting category, the first place and second place winner was Renee Renfro, with 鈥淏oulder, Co.鈥 for first and 鈥淭agetes Patula鈥 for second; third place was Diego Cardenas Osorio of Venezuela who won with 鈥淗ome鈥 and honorable mention was Corey Cundiff of Springfield, Ky., who won with 鈥淯ntitled.鈥
In the ceramics category, Katelyn Roby of Campbellsville, Ky. took first with 鈥淐ompanion Cups鈥; Benjamin Gaona of Willisburg, Ky. took second with 鈥淏alanced Bowl鈥; Austin Merritt of Campbellsville, Ky. third with 鈥淧hoenix Rising,鈥 and Benjamin Gaona of Willisburg won honorable mention with 鈥淢arching Shoe.鈥
For photography, Alyssa Barker of Frankfort, Ky. took first with 鈥淭he Eye鈥 and had an honorable mention with 鈥淏roken.鈥 Benjamin Gaona of Willisburg, took second with 鈥淔rench Summers鈥 and third with 鈥淥ur Flag.鈥
In drawing, Corey Cundiff of Springfield, Ky. got first with 鈥淪till Life鈥; Sebastian Marot of Johannesburg, South Africa, second with 鈥淭he Star鈥; Sarah Smith of Brownsville, Texas with 鈥淧eople Watching鈥 tying with Madeline Hahn of Cox's Creek, Ky. for third with 鈥淢usic for the Soul鈥 and both got honorable mention - with Smith for 鈥淎rbre鈥 and Hahn for 鈥淯ntitled.鈥
For graphic design, Alexis Crawford of Louisville, Ky. got first with 鈥淐onstruct vs. Deconstruct鈥 and Christian Malcomson of Campbellsville, Ky. got second for 鈥淗armony鈥; third for 鈥淏alance鈥 and honorable mention for 鈥淭ime.鈥
The Pence-Chowning Art Gallery is open: Mondays from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and from noon to 6 p.m.; Tuesdays from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.; Wednesdays from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. until noon and from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Everyone is invited to the free exhibit.
