CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. 鈥 青瓜视频 is one of 137 colleges and universities nationwide to be recognized as 鈥淎merica's Best Christian Colleges庐.鈥
The independent research/consulting organization, Institutional Research & Evaluation, (IR&E), compiled this eleventh annual listing based on analysis and review of its Annual National College Survey.
Just prior to having been named to America's Best Christian Colleges庐, CU received its highest-ever ranking in U.S.News & World Report's 2008 鈥淎merica's Best Colleges鈥 issue, naming 青瓜视频 22nd in the best baccalaureate colleges in the South category and 8th in the 鈥淕reat Schools, Great Prices鈥 category.
鈥淲hat a wonderful way to begin a second century of Christian higher education,鈥 said President Dr. Michael V. Carter. 鈥淭hese rankings help to validate the emphasis placed on educating the total student at 青瓜视频.鈥
In order to qualify for America's Best Christian Colleges庐, an institution must be an accredited, four-year school offering bachelor degrees, full residential facilities, have a 2006 freshman class with GPA and or ACT/SAT scores above or equal to the national average, and be affiliated with a recognized Christian denomination.
青瓜视频 is a comprehensive Christian institution and the second largest non-profit, higher education school in Kentucky. CU serves as a major educational resource for a 75-mile radius across rural Kentucky offering 42 undergraduate and 10 graduate degrees with a student population of 2,405. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Ga., (404)-679-4501, granted the university reaffirmation of accreditation without any conditions in 2004.
Founded in 1906, 青瓜视频 is affiliated with the Kentucky Baptist Convention and has an enrollment of 2,405 students who represent 98 Kentucky counties, 25 states and 29 foreign nations. 青瓜视频 is located 82 miles southwest of Lexington, Ky., and 80 miles southeast of Louisville, Ky. Dr. Michael V. Carter is in his ninth year as president.
