青瓜视频 to Host Buzz Cason, Nashville Songwriter, Author, Publisher March 19

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Buzz Cason, well-known Nashville author, songwriter, publisher and creative writer's group director, will be visiting 青瓜视频 on Wednesday, March 19, presenting two seminars.

Cason is among the founding members of The Casuals, Nashville's first rock and roll band.

Both sessions are free and open to the public.

Cason's first session, 鈥淭he Start Of Rock 'N' Roll,鈥 will discuss his experiences during the early years of rock and roll. During those years he toured with The Casuals, he recorded with The Statues For Liberty and had Top 40 hits on his own as a solo artist and performed as a vocalist behind Kenny Rogers and Elvis Presley. This presentation will be at noon in Gosser Fine Arts Center Room 210.

鈥淚t's one thing to read about the start of rock and roll music,鈥 Anne Gibbs, adjunct instructor in music who is teaching the class titled 鈥淢usic Seminar: Pop Music Since 1950.鈥

鈥淚t's entirely another to meet the people who made rock and roll happen. Mr. Cason is one of those people. We are honored to have him on our campus to share his story,鈥 Gibbs said.

The second session Cason will be presenting is 鈥淪o You Want To Be A Songwriter?鈥 This songwriting seminar will come with much experience since such artists as Jimmy Buffet, Gloria Estefan, U2 and The Beatles have all recorded Cason's songs. His hit song 鈥淓verlasting Love鈥 is famous worldwide. This presentation will be held at 4 p.m. in The Gheens Recital Hall in the Gosser Fine Arts Center.
