青瓜视频 to host Faith and Beauty Symposium Jan. 24

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - 青瓜视频 is introducing the new year with a symposium for worshippers, titled 鈥淔aith & Beauty,鈥 at Ransdell Chapel on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

鈥淔aith & Beauty is about leading, worshipping, composing and designing in Light of the Beauty of the Gospel,鈥 Dr. John Hurtgen, dean of the School of Theology, said.

Hurtgen said, 鈥淭he workshop attempts to make theological aesthetics made practical. How does the beauty of design, music and worship intersect with the gospel story?鈥

The event is sponsored by the CU Center for Ministry & Worship.

Dan Wilt, director of communications and resource development, Vineyard US, from Nashville, Tenn., is the keynote speaker of the symposium.

Wilt said, 鈥淢y life's work is to serve the flourishing of the human heart in faith, in hope, and in love in God's sacred world.鈥 He has served as a social worker, songwriter, university professor, designer, author, pastor, worship leader and a chaplain. Adam Russell, director of Vineyard Music USA, and senior pastor of Vineyard Campbellsville at 105 Pleasant Drive, Campbellsville. He is also a songwriter (鈥淟et Your Kingdom Come鈥 and 鈥淕lorious鈥) and worship leader. Vineyard Campbellsville  began in 1996 with only a few people, and, in two decades, they have grown to a community of about 300. Russell is a 2001 graduate of 青瓜视频. Dr. Sam Yoder, nationally-acclaimed songwriter, has written 鈥淎ll Things Rise,鈥 鈥淲ear the Crown鈥 and 鈥淧romises of Wonder.鈥 Yoder is a chiropractor in Campbellsville and is a 2000 graduate of 青瓜视频.

Eric Hurtgen, formerly of Charlotte, N.C., is a freelance designer and art director. He is a 1999 graduate of 青瓜视频. After nearly a decade of experience, Hurtgen has accumulated a lengthy list of awards for his role as an art director in various creative endeavors. He was most recently honored with the National Gold Advertising Award and a MidSouth Emmy Nomination for his work on the short film 鈥淢alala Yousafzai.鈥 To see some of his work, visit his website at .
