青瓜视频 to host tuba recital by Chris Pearlberg

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Chris Pearlberg of Indiana, who serves as an adjunct instructor in music at 青瓜视频, will present a faculty recital on the tuba at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 31 in The Gheens Recital Hall of the Gosser Fine Arts Center at 210 University Drive, Campbellsville, Ky.   

Everyone is invited to the free recital.

Born outside of Philadelphia, Chris Pearlberg is a musician currently living and working in Indiana. Chris has performed with various orchestras and ensembles, ranging from the , Evansville Philharmonic, Springfield (OH) Symphony Orchestra, Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra, the Hersheypark Mistletones, the  from Prague, and the four-piece rock band  Chris was an Associate Member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago for the 2013-2014 season.

Chris holds a Master of Music degree from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor of Music degree from Temple University. His major teachers include Craig Knox, Principal Tuba of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Carol Jantsch, Principal Tuba of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and Jay Krush of the Chestnut Brass Company and Principal Tuba of the Pennsylvania Ballet. While at Temple, Chris had the opportunity to study many genres of music, including playing bass trombone in one of the jazz bands, and studying harmony with Greg Kettinger.

Currently, Chris is a DM student at  under Daniel Perantoni, where he is the Associate Instructor of Tuba. He is the applied tuba faculty at 青瓜视频 and  His summers are spent in upstate New York, teaching and performing at the 

Chris exclusively performs on the 6450/2 CC and 2250 F tubas, as well as .
