CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - 青瓜视频 will host her second annual Song Festival 鈥淥ne, Come, Sing for Joy!鈥 located on the campus of 青瓜视频 Feb. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in Ransdell Chapel at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

The event is free and open to the public for all ages and denominations.

The theme for this year's festival is 鈥淥ne鈥 according to Dr. Tony Cunha, dean of the School of Music. 鈥淭he main concept is to bring us all together,鈥 he said.

The Robertson Worship Endowment is the sponsor of the event. Cunha points to verses from both the Old Testament and the New Testament for reference. Psalm chapter 33 verses 1-3 reads:

鈥淪hout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous! Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; make melody to him with the harp of ten strings! Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.鈥

The New Testament book of Ephesians chapter 4 verses 4-7 emphasizes the theme of 鈥渙ne鈥 stating:

鈥淭here is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift.鈥

The School of Music will be in partnership with worship teams from Campbellsville Baptist Church.

Cunha and David Johnson, music minister for Campbellsville Baptist Church, are coordinating the event.

Cunha said, 鈥淚 have several of my students also participating as a part of their class project for the semester.鈥
Last year's festival titled 鈥淎 Journey of Faith in His song鈥 received wide acclaim, Cunha said. 鈥淭he reception was very positive,鈥 he said. 鈥淚t was the first one, and it was so positive that they just asked us to keep going. The administration was very thrilled,鈥 he said.

鈥淲hat we really want to do with this song festival is to create this atmosphere of bringing the churches together for a program like this and sing. It's a worship service in song, the preaching will come through songs, scripture and prayer,鈥 he said.
