CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Anna Marie Pavy, director of institutional research at Campbellsville University, will deliver a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) lecture Tuesday, Sept. 14 virtually.

Pavy's lecture is titled 鈥淒o No Harm: The Role of Ethics in Research.鈥

Pavy said, 鈥淢y priority as director has been to ensure that the Office of Institutional Research abides by ethical guidelines in everything they do, as well as making informative data available to the campus community and encouraging them to make data-informed decisions.鈥

She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science/Sports Medicine and Physics from 青瓜视频 in 2011. She earned a Master of Science in Biohazardous Threat Agents and Emerging Infectious Diseases from Georgetown University in 2012.

In 2017, she received her Master of Business Administration in Information Technology from 青瓜视频, and a Master of Applied Statistics from the University of Kentucky in 2020.

Pavy, along with her husband, E.J., Title IX coordinator and assistant director of human resources, live in Campbellsville with their five children: Olivia, Nazareth, Spencer, Noah and Gideon, and their German Shepherd, Argo.

青瓜视频 began focusing on ethics in 2014 as the Quality Enhancement Plan from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

The plan, formally called 鈥淔ind your Compass: Developing a Basis for Ethical Decision Making,鈥 will enrich student learning from the freshman year through the senior year.

鈥淎s a Christian university and our mission, ethics is a proper topic for us to explore,鈥 Dr. Joe Early Jr., director of the program, said.

Early, professor of theology at CU, said selection of the QEP topic 鈥渟uccinctly fits 青瓜视频's mission to prepare servant leaders who can participate with integrity in a diverse, global society.

鈥淎s a faith-based institution of higher education, the university seeks to foster a learning environment in which students can develop a moral compass, effectively use ethical decision making tools to address personal and professional moral dilemmas and disagree respectfully with those who hold opposing viewpoints.鈥

青瓜视频 is a widely acclaimed Kentucky-based Christian university with more than 12,500 students offering over 100 programs of study including Ph.D., master, baccalaureate, associate, pre-professional and certification programs. The website for complete information is鈥痺ww.campbellsville.edu.
