CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The annual Christmas Tapestry presented by the School of Music will be Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. in the Ransdell Chapel.
This year will be the 15th annual concert.
Everyone is invited to attend in support of all the school of music ensembles, Dr. William Budai, associate professor of piano and associate dean of the School of Music, said.
鈥淲e put this concert together each year as our gift to the community - both the University community as well as the broader Campbellsville and Taylor County community,鈥� Budai said.
The Tapestry will feature popular Christmas songs such as 鈥淢ary Did You Know,鈥� 鈥淩ockin' Around the Christmas Tree鈥� and 鈥淥 Holy, Night.鈥�
There will also be some not as familiar, Budai said, such as 鈥淐hristmastime鈥� by Michael W. Smith and 鈥淪ome Day at Christmas鈥� by Stevie Wonder.
鈥淲e will have a wide variety of pieces and many different styles, so I'm sure there will be something for everyone,鈥� Budai said.
Most ensembles have been preparing their pieces for the concert since the beginning of the fall semester, and Budai hopes to have a full chapel just like performances in previous years.

The ensembles performing at the Tapestry are the University Orchestra, Women's Chorus, New Doxology, Rock Combo, Jazz Combo, Faculty Jazz Combo, Woodwind Ensemble, Saxophone Ensemble, Piano Duet, The Campbellsville Youth Orchestra with the Taylor County Middle School Chamber Choir and a few others.
Budai said many people in the community attend the Christmas Tapestry because they view it as the official start to the Christmas season.
He said it is a great opportunity to ring in the holidays and show your support to university music students who work hard every single day. The event is free.
