CU Employs Kyle Davis as Director of Campus Safety/Security

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Kyle Davis of Greensburg is the new director of campus safety and security, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president.

As the new director, Davis said he is reviewing what is established and is sorting ideas for upgrades to get the best safety and security plan possible for the campus.

Davis is working on several plans including an e-mail notification system for the campus as well as a campus phone notification system for administrative offices.

鈥淭here is no way to pinpoint what we will add to the notification system. I am researching to upgrade the systems,鈥 he said.

Davis's long-term goals for the safety and security offices include more officers to cover more ground on a growing campus. 鈥淚 want an officer presence to make everyone feel safer,鈥 said Davis.

鈥溓喙鲜悠 is a family atmosphere, and I feel like I am becoming part of the family. I hope I meet everyone's expectations,鈥 said Davis.

Davis worked four years as a former deputy of the Warren County Jail where he was a member of the Special Emergency Response Team tactical unit or SERT. He was involved with securing inmates and transporting them to courthouses.

He has been a contracted deputy with the U.S. Marshall Service in Nashville, Tenn.

Davis is a former student at Western Kentucky University. He is pursuing a degree in sociology and public relations and hopes to continue this degree soon as a student at 青瓜视频.

Davis is a 1998 graduate of Green County High School.

Davis is the son of Kerry and Lanetta Davis of Greensburg. He has two children, Bradley and Keaton.
