CU Enrollment Sets Record for Spring Semester

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.鈥擣or another consecutive spring semester, 青瓜视频 has achieved a record spring semester enrollment of 2,451, according to an announcement by Dr. Michael V. Carter, president.

The enrollment for spring 2008 was 2,435.

The spring semester record makes 18 semesters of consecutive record enrollments at 青瓜视频.

Carter said, 鈥淥ur 18th consecutive semester of record enrollment reflects the continuing forward movement of 青瓜视频.

鈥淭he fact that students are coming from all across Kentucky, the United States and 32 other countries, confirms the excellent reputation that CU has and that we have become a university where diversity is affirmed, academic excellence is emphasized, and Christ is at the center of all that we do.

鈥淲e are very thankful for the continuing growth of 青瓜视频 as we place emphasis on Christian servant leadership and academic excellence.鈥

Dave Walters, vice president for admissions and student services, credits retention and recruiting as the basis of this record enrollment.

鈥淥ur entire campus is intentional when it comes to retaining and recruiting students,鈥 Walters said.

鈥淔aculty, staff and administration all share the responsibility for being ambassadors for 青瓜视频. It's a collaborative effort to share with prospective students and their families about all that CU has to offer. Everything we do on our campus is strategically planned and implemented with current and future students in mind.鈥

Walters said the interest in CU is higher than ever before. 鈥淪tudents from all over the country and from all over the world are visiting our campus and discovering a treasure of higher education experiences and resources,鈥 he said.

Dr. Frank Cheatham, vice president for academic affairs, said he was 鈥渧ery pleased鈥 with the record.

鈥淭he new record enrollment is a reflection of the quality of academic and spiritual life students are experiencing at 青瓜视频,鈥 Cheatham said.

鈥淥ur outstanding faculty/staff and coaches continue to work hard to provide the best experience possible for out students. We will continue to move forward in providing programs of quality to attract and retain additional students.鈥

Founded in 1906, 青瓜视频 is affiliated with the Kentucky Baptist Convention and has an enrollment of 2,601 students who represent 93 Kentucky counties, 27 states and 31 foreign nations.
