CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - One of 青瓜视频's professors, Dr. Kris Weatherly, has been diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, and the only treatment for this disease is a bone marrow transfusion.

Currently, there are no viable donors who are a match for Weatherly in the national donor bank. 鈥淚t is imperative that Dr. Weatherly receive a transplant within the next couple of months or it could be too late for him,鈥 said Chrys Hines, instructor in business at CU.

The School of Business and Economics at 青瓜视频, for whom Weatherly teaches online as an adjunct faculty member, is asking for you to agree to be a bone marrow donor.

Hines said the test is quick and painless, and free for all students, faculty, staff and the community. She said it is a simple matter of a swabbing the inside of the mouth.

A table will be set up in the lobby of the Winters Dining Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, through Friday, April 17.

Hines said you need to stop by to fill out a short health history and swab your mouth. Doing so will place your name in the national registry and possibly give you the opportunity to help save a life, she said.

Weatherly was a full-time professor at 青瓜视频 about three years and a recruiting specialist for almost a year. He has taught as an adjunct at CU since July 2007. He lives in Arizona.
