CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.鈥斍喙鲜悠� student enrollment for the fall 2008 semester will begin Monday, Aug. 18, and continue on Tuesday, Aug. 19 for students who have not previously completed the enrollment process.
Semester enrollment consists of several steps including academic advising, registering, scheduling and paying. Most steps may be completed online.
Students may complete the various semester enrollment steps on Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Persons who have not applied to the university should start the enrollment process in the Office of Admissions. Returning and newly admitted students will receive enrollment information via campus mail. 鈥淲e are providing students with the means to make sure they have completed all the necessary steps for semester enrollment,鈥� Fred Miller, assistant director of student records at CU, said.
Changes have been made this fall that should make the process easier, he said. All students will receive (via campus mail) a parking decal with a vehicle registration card attached, and they are no longer required to show proof of health insurance coverage.
This fall, to aid with faster service and better traffic flow, students who need to see Business Services and/or Financial Aid personnel, will find them in their offices rather than in the Technology Training Center as in past semesters, according to Miller and Rita Creason, director of student records at CU.
鈥淪tudent Ambassadors (students who work in the Office of Admissions) will be strategically placed around campus to help direct students to particular offices and answer questions,鈥� said Miller.
An orientation for new students who didn't attend a summer orientation is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 18 with check-in starting at 8:30 a.m. in the Ransdell Chapel. The orientation program begins at 9 a.m.
CU Maple Trail yearbook pictures will be taken on both registration days in the lounge of the Davenport Student Commons by Supertone Studio.
Classes begin Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 8 a.m. 鈥淭here is still plenty of time to apply and enroll at CU,鈥� Miller said. The enrollment period for the fall semester will remain open until Friday, Aug. 29.
