CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.鈥擳he 青瓜视频 Juried Student Art Show will be on display through May 20.
Three winners were picked from each of the eight categories. The eight categories include: Painting, Drawing, Photography, Ceramics, Sculpture, Graphic Design, Printmaking and Animation.
Best in Show was awarded to Dalton Bennett of Campbellsville, Ky., for his piece 鈥淐ookies.鈥 Best in Nature Category was awarded to Shelby White of Willisburg, Ky., for her piece 鈥淣ature's Beauty.鈥
Painting was the first category to be judged with Ben Gaona of Campbellsville, Ky., as the winner for his piece 鈥淪elf Portrait.鈥 Second place was Yukiko Takashima of Japan, for 鈥淪pring Stream.鈥 Third place was Ben Gaona of Campbellsville, Ky., for his piece 鈥淕ettysburg.鈥
Drawing was the second category to be judged with Dalton Bennett of Campbellsville, Ky., as the winner with his piece 鈥淪kull #3.鈥 Emily Swafford of Campbellsville, Ky., placed second with her piece 鈥淐ookies鈥 and Ben Gaona of Campbellsville, Ky., took third place with 鈥淟et it Sink In.鈥
In the photography category, Kasey Kruczek of Easton, Pa., placed first with her piece 鈥淎bandonment.鈥 Second place was awarded to Sarah Smith of Los Fresnos, Texas, for her piece 鈥淐andyland鈥 while Austin Merritt of Campbellsville, Ky., took third place with his piece 鈥淐ognition.鈥
Keysha Martin of Le Vergne, Tenn., took first place in ceramics for her piece 鈥淏utterflies,鈥; Emily Swafford of Campbellsville, Ky., was awarded second place for her piece 鈥淕eometric Vase鈥 and Johnnie Walkup of Campbellsville, Ky., placed third with his piece 鈥淪eashell Bowl.鈥
In the sculpture category, Eurico Nunes of Portugal, placed first with his piece 鈥淐ATBoot鈥 with Ben Gaona of Campbellsville, Ky., taking second place with his piece 鈥淢an with Weapon鈥 and Kasey Kruczek of Easton, Pa., placing third with her piece 鈥淪tone Ear.鈥
The winner for the Graphic Design Category was Brittany Downy of Campbellsville, Ky., with her piece 鈥淩craic Pzls.鈥 Bailey James of Bartlett, Tenn., came in second place with 鈥淐loud9鈥 while Brittany Downey of Campbellsville, Ky., also came in third for her piece 鈥淔ox in a Box.鈥
In the Printmaking portion, the winners include: 鈥淗elp鈥 by Kasey Kruczek of Easton, Pa., finishing first, 鈥淪pring鈥 by Sarah Fanning of Versailles, Ky., placing second and 鈥淥rb of Vitality鈥 by Sarah Smith of Los Fresnos, Texas, placing third.
The final category to be judged was the Animation category. Coming in first place with her piece 鈥淪plash!鈥 was Sarah Smith of Los Fresnos, Texas, and coming in second place was 鈥淏ite and Chew Test鈥 by Collin Pendelton of Campbellsville Ky.
There were also many honorable mentions throughout each category.
Honorable mentions include- Drawing category: Sarah Fanning of Versailles, Ky., with her piece 鈥淥ksana鈥 and Devon Cross of Lewisburg, Ky., with his piece 鈥淪tudies of a Notebook鈥; Sculpture category: Ben Gaona of Campbellsville, Ky., with his piece 鈥淗ead.鈥
