CU, TCHS Concert Bands to perform joint concert

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The 青瓜视频 School of Music will host the Taylor County High School Concert Band for a joint concert with the CU Concert Band at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

The public is invited to the free concert.

Under the direction of CU graduate Stephen Bishop, who received a bachelor of music education degree in 2004 and a master of music education in 2009, the Taylor County Concert Band will perform 鈥淚ncidental Suite鈥 by Claude T. Smith, 鈥淲hither Must I Wander鈥 by R. Vaughan Williams and 鈥淛ungle Dance鈥 by Brian Balmages.

Conductors for the University Concert Band are Jennifer L. Tinnell, director of bands/instructor in music, and Russell A. Thompson, assistant director of bands and instructor in music. Their repertoire includes: 鈥淓nglish Folk Song Suite鈥 by R. Vaughan Williams, 鈥淓sprit de Corps鈥 by Robert Jager, 鈥淒usk鈥 by Steven Bryant and 鈥淲ashington Greys鈥 by Claudio Grafulla.
