CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.鈥- 鈥淲e are walking together as Christians during this time,鈥 Pavy said.
Ed Pavy, former campus minister for 青瓜视频, spoke at Campbellsville University's chapel service March 10.
Pavy talked about how ministry came about to 青瓜视频 over the past 26 years. Pavy discussed Baptist Student Union and talked about how their logo is a star with five arrows pointing out and also in.
Pavy said, with the five arrows, it's an inward and outward journey; without an inward journey you cannot have an outward journey.
He reflected on the verse Matthew 11:29: 鈥淐ome to me, and learn from me.鈥
鈥淭he inward journey begins with the five aspects of individual growth,鈥 Pavy said. Pavy read Colossians 3:16: 鈥淟et the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.鈥 He read this verse to encourage people to counsel each other with all the wisdom the Lord gives us.
Pavy talked about when he was a student at Campbellsville. Worship was on Monday's and it brought a lot of the students closer together.
Pavy encourages fellowship. When he was a student during worship there were a lot of athletes that had a strong fellowship even though they played different sports. They still had the fellowship because they shared the same love of a sport.
Pavy encouraged students to also be involved in BSU. He explained that even though it is a Baptist organization, it is for everyone. Pavy said, 鈥淓ven if you aren't Christian and you're interested, please come be involved to learn about Jesus Christ.鈥
