CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.鈥- The Rev. David Peoples, senior pastor of Jabez Missionary Church, who was the Holy Week speaker at 青瓜视频's chapel March 31, said God will heal and take care of us.
Peoples read John 19:30 鈥淲hen he had received the drink, Jesus said, 鈥業t is finished.' With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.鈥
Peoples talks about all the assignments we all have had throughout our life and still haven't done them. He said, 鈥淵et these things are a small amount compared to the assignments that Jesus had to fulfill.鈥
鈥淲e are told that on the sixth day that God had finished His work of creation, and saw everything and thought it was very good,鈥 Peoples said. He said God finished all his assignments and said, 鈥淚t is finished, all is done, all is perfect.鈥
鈥淚 am convinced that some of us can't complete or finish anything because we are so worried about what people think,鈥 He said.
Peoples said we question when we get an assignment, and that is not the way to handle assignments. Peoples read John 17:4-5 鈥淎nd you know the way to where I am going.鈥 Thomas said to him, 鈥淟ord, do we not know where you are going. How can we know the way?鈥
鈥淜eep in mind, Jesus never said WE were finished, but rather IT is finished,鈥 Peoples said. He said people will always face some sort of trouble in our lives, but nothing will compare to the troubles that Jesus went through for us.
Peoples said we struggle when we are hurting, and God will heal and take care of us when we need that healing and help through the darkness.
鈥淚 know sometimes we struggle on this journey; I know sometimes it's tough on this journey,鈥 Peoples said.
