CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The Center for International Education, Louisville Education Center and the School of Business and Economics at 青瓜视频 hosted 20 undergraduate students from Guru Nanak Institutions (GNI) Hyderabad, India, Monday, July 18 through Wednesday, July 20.

GNI is a Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) institution, that has 11 education centers spread across Hyderabad, Nagpur and Roorkee. The Hyderabad GNI has 11,000 students enrolled in various programs of studies including Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, Business Management, Computer Applications and Dental Science.
Dr. H.S. Saini, managing director of the Hyderabad campus, and Jaypreet Kaur Keer, assistant dean of international affairs and student counseling, accompanied the students.

Students who visited were majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Aeronautical Engineering, Pharmacology, Civil Engineering and Software Engineering.
鈥淭hey were immensely impressed by the friendliness of our community, education facility, sense of Christian values and the timely and available services,鈥� Dr. Mego Haralu, dean of international education at 青瓜视频, said.
鈥淭his is the first time our students have visited the United States and they have s enjoyed their visit at 青瓜视频,鈥� Saini said. 鈥淐U has set a tone of hospitality and academics that sets a new standard for our students.鈥�

鈥淭he students had a good time visiting Green River Lake and swimming at Campbellsville University's swimming pool,鈥� Haralu said.
鈥淚t was fantastic. After visiting Campbellsville, I learned a lot of things about discipline, exploration and education,鈥� Aditya Bagath Singh, a student from Hyderabad, India, said.
The students went on a road trip to Bowling Green, Ky. and visited the Corvette Assembly Plant and National Corvette Museum.

鈥淚t was thrilling for the mechanical engineering students,鈥� Haralu said.
While coming back to campus, all the students dined at Taj Palace in Bowling Green, for some authentic Indian cuisine.
鈥淎ll in all, the visit was a success,鈥� Haralu said.

Dr. Donna Hedgepath, vice president for academic affairs and professor of education; Dr. Keith Spears, vice president for communication and assistant to the president; and Haralu met with Saini and Keer to confirm a collegial partnership for exchange students, scholars and curriculum starting in fall 2016.
Spears said a university delegation is planning to visit the Hyderabad GNI education center.
鈥淲e appreciate Dr. Eric Harter, CU business faculty member at Louisville Education Center along with Dr. Anil Palla, arranging this visit and Elaine Tan of the Center for International Education for coordinating the activities of the visit,鈥� Spears said. 鈥淎 recruiting group will be going to Hyderabad in October to interview students for January courses.鈥�
