The Jo Ann Maurer Restricted Scholarship Fund Established AT 青瓜视频

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - TheSchool of Nursing at青瓜视频 announced two gifts recently from Jo Ann Maurer Wever, dean of the School of Nursing.

鈥淲e are proud to accept Dean Wever's continued support for this program,鈥 said Michael V. Carter, president. 鈥淭he CU School of Nursing is dedicated to producing a professionally trained nurse with the kindness and compassion of a true Christian servant leader.鈥

Her gifts totaling $5,000 included $1,000 to be used strictly to help students.

The Jo Ann Maurer restricted scholarship fund was established at 青瓜视频 to address the country's shortage of qualified nurses by helping to make the education more affordable. The Financial Aid office has application forms for any third semester students who would like to qualify for the scholarship.

The School of Nursing is a two-year program leading to the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

The Associate Degree in Nursing Program has limited enrollment and therefore admission will be selective and competitive.

Applicants are considered on the basis of cumulative undergraduate GPA, completion of required non-nursing courses, ACT scores and/or NLN Pre-Admission Examination-RN. Transfer students will be accepted using the same criteria and on a space available basis.

The program prepares the graduates to function as a generalist and to practice in a variety of positions in a variety of clinical settings.
