WLCU-TV/FM is rewinding with the 青瓜视频 community

By Amber Meade, communications operations manager, Office of University Communications

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - 青瓜视频's TV station, WLCU, has a new show, CommUnity Rewind, that airs Friday nights at 7 o'clock.

The new show features host, Alex Meade, television programming and production director for WLCU, talking to members of the 青瓜视频 community about how COVID-19 is affecting their personal and work lives.

Since the university has moved mostly to a work-from-home operation, the TV station had to devise a plan to get interviews in a way that complied with health officials.

Their idea was to use Microsoft Teams to get the people into Meade's home, where he would use software to record their interviews and then edit them together afterward.

鈥淪o far, so good!鈥 Meade said.

The first episode of CommUnity Rewind aired May 29 on WLCU-TV Comcast cable channel 10, digital channel 15, WLCUTV.com, WLCU Campbellsville and 青瓜视频 on Facebook and premiered and is now logged on WLCU's YouTube channel, which can be accessed here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGOyyKyrGBpSx8-uXa4NRtw.

For the first episode, Meade interviewed Perry Thomas, head football coach of the Fighting Tigers; E.J. Pavy, title IX coordinator and assistant director of personnel services; Dr. John Hurtgen, dean of 青瓜视频's School of Theology; and Josh Switzer, special project manager.

The next episode aired June 5 on WLCU-TV Comcast cable channel 10, digital channel 15, WLCUTV.com, 青瓜视频 on Facebook, and premiered and is now logged on WLCU's YouTube channel.

Episode two featured Dr. John Chowning, executive assistant to the president of Campbellsville University for government, community and constituent relations; Dr. Michele Dickens, interim dean of the School of Nursing and associate professor of nursing; E.J. Pavy, Title IX coordinator and assistant director of personnel services; and Ginger High-Colvin, head basketball coach for the Lady Tigers.

鈥淚 am very excited for the upcoming episodes of CommUnity Rewind because we will get to see into the lives of the 青瓜视频 family that we wouldn't normally get to see,鈥 Meade said.

鈥淭une in at 7 o'clock on Friday nights for another installment of CommUnity Rewind!鈥 he said.
