CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - 青瓜视频 will be hosting a Woodwind Day on Saturday, Jan. 25 in The Gheens Recital Hall.
鈥淭he Woodwind Day is a special event for our CU woodwind and horn students, as well as local middle school and high school students,鈥� Dr. Lisa McArthur, professor of music, theory and flute at 青瓜视频, said.
The students will have the opportunity to perform in a full woodwind ensemble, work with and for professionals who specialize on their instrument, perform in and listen to concerts, attend a panel discussion about 鈥淐ollege and Careers in Music鈥� and shop with vendors, according to McArthur.
鈥淲e are excited to welcome several guests to our campus, as well as some guests from the U.S. Army,鈥� McArthur said.
Featured at the event as guest performers will be a Woodwind Quintet, The Dozier Winds, from the 282nd Army Band, Fort Jackson, S.C. The group will be teaching and performing through the day, including concerts at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. in The Gheens Recital Hall. 鈥淭hese concerts are free and open to the public and our campus community,鈥� McArthur said.
