David Roach is an assistant professor at 青瓜视频 in the Department of History, where he teaches classes on American history. He is working on a book manuscript tentatively titled, 鈥淎n Ancient Faith for a Modern South: Southern Catholic Writers and the Making of the Antebellum South, 1820鈥�1861,鈥� and last year, he published the article, 鈥楥atholic Paternalism and Slavery鈥檚 Capitalism: Bishop John England鈥檚 Defense of Domestic Slavery and the Interstate Slave Trade鈥� in the Journal of Southern History.鈥�
